Dr. Fadi Alnehlaoui, Consultant in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology at Sama Medical Center and Medcare Hospitals, received the Outstanding Colorectal Surgeon of the Year, 2026 Award at the Healthcare Innovator & Excellence Awards 2026. The event was held on August 2, 2026, at the Metropolitan Hotel, Dubai, and was presented by InsightsCare and powered by Insights Excellence Awards. Raza Siddiqui, Managing Partner of Arabian Life, Dubai, UAE, attended as Chief Guest. The award recognizes Dr. Alnehlaoui’s contribution to colorectal and general surgical oncology care in the UAE.
Dr. Alnehlaoui brings 18 years of surgical experience to his practice, holding double postgraduate degrees in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology from Syria, an MD from the European Board in Surgical Oncology in Belgium, and an Advanced Laparoscopic Diploma in Hepatobiliary Surgery from the University of Strasbourg in France. He began his career as a Specialist General Surgeon across several hospitals in Aleppo, Syria, before serving as a Specialist in Surgical Oncology at institutions including Ibn Rushd Hospital and the Syrian French Hospital.
Before joining Medcare, Dr. Alnehlaoui served as Head of the Surgical Department and Oncology Services at a premium hospital group across Dubai and Sharjah, and later as CEO and Board Member at Oruan Health Group in the UAE. He is a member of the European Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Surgical Oncology, and the Emirates Oncology Society.
His clinical expertise spans early cancer detection, particularly breast cancer, along with thyroid and neck surgery, endoscopic transoral thyroidectomy, gynecological oncology procedures, and gastrointestinal and colorectal cancer surgery. He is also skilled in laparoscopic procedures for pancreatohepatobiliary tumors, soft tissue tumors, and melanoma, as well as reconstructive and oncologic plastic surgery procedures.
Dr. Alnehlaoui’s broader surgical practice covers the full range of general and laparoscopic procedures, including bariatric surgery, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair, and gallbladder and gastroesophageal tumor surgery, reflecting a career built on both surgical precision and oncologic specialization.
