Dr. Mahaveer Mehta, Chairman and Medical Director of Dr. Mahaveer Mehta Medical Centre, received the Excellence in Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser Treatments Award at the Healthcare Innovator & Excellence Awards 2026. The event was held on August 2, 2026, at the Metropolitan Hotel, Dubai, and was presented by InsightsCare and powered by Insights Excellence Awards. Raza Siddiqui, Managing Partner of Arabian Life, Dubai, UAE, attended as Chief Guest. The award recognizes Dr. Mehta’s contribution to advancing dermatology and laser medicine across the UAE.
Dr. Mehta has practiced clinical and cosmetic dermatology in Dubai since 1990, having earned his MBBS from RNT Medical College, Udaipur, in 1971 and his MD in Dermatology from KM School of Postgraduate Medicine and Research in 1976. Before establishing his own practice in Dubai, he served as Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at the Qatar Armed Forces Medical Unit and Chairman of Dermatology at the International Hospital Bahrain, alongside faculty roles at Al Fateh University in Tripoli and SMS Medical College in Jaipur.
Widely recognized as a pioneer in introducing laser technology to the Middle East, Dr. Mehta’s clinic offers procedures spanning skin laser surgery, acne scar treatment, non-surgical skin tightening, photo facial treatment, and pico laser tattoo removal, with a strong focus on skin cancer prevention and early diagnosis. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Dermatologic & Aesthetic Surgery International League and as Congress President for its Dubai conference, in addition to chairing the scientific committee of the International Congress in Aesthetic and Anti-Ageing Medicine across multiple years.
Dr. Mehta’s contributions have been recognized with the Physician Recognition Award from the American Medical Association and the Continuing Medical Education Award from the American Academy of Dermatology, alongside his ongoing role mentoring dermatologists through the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery’s International Travelling Mentorship Program.
The Excellence in Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser Treatments Award adds to the recognition Dr. Mehta has built over more than three decades of practice in Dubai. It reflects the trust patients and the international dermatology community have placed in his expertise and leadership in the field.
