Sunil Rajan Honored with CEO Excellence & Innovation Leadership Award

Sunil Rajan, CEO of W.O.G Group, received the CEO Excellence & Innovation Leadership Award at the Global Excellence & Leadership Awards 2026, Bangkok Edition. The event was held on October 25, 2026, at Amari Bangkok, Thailand, powered by Insights Excellence Awards and presented by Insights Success, with NB Experience as co-presenter. Chief Guest Teeraphol Ambhai attended the ceremony. The award recognizes Rajan’s leadership at a company working in water, wastewater, and renewable energy solutions.

W.O.G Group, which also operates as WOG Technologies Limited, is an environmental engineering company serving industrial and municipal clients. Its work covers water treatment, wastewater recycling, and biogas generation from waste, with projects across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. The company has delivered more than 200 projects worldwide across sectors such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, metals, and food and beverage. Chief Guest Teeraphol Ambhai, a visionary leader, strategic thinker, and industry expert, joined the gathering of business leaders in Bangkok. His presence added to a ceremony centered on leadership and cross-border business achievement.

As CEO, Rajan has spoken about the shift in industrial wastewater management from simple regulatory compliance toward the reuse and recycling of water. He has said that treatment systems are sensitive to small changes in operations, which makes automation important, and that the company’s systems use IoT, AI, and digital tools to improve efficiency and reduce human error. In Tamil Nadu, one of the company’s textile projects is a common effluent treatment and reuse facility that allows member units to recycle most of their wastewater.

Under his leadership, the company has also put effort into waste-based energy, including technologies that turn high-strength industrial wastewater into biogas. WOG Technologies recently opened a Research, Development & Technology Centre in Gurugram to take new water and energy technologies from concept toward commercial scale. The centre also works on wastewater recycling, acid recovery, and AI-driven water monitoring. Rajan has pointed to policy support and financing as the main hurdles to wider adoption of advanced water solutions in India, and has spoken in favor of mechanisms such as water credits to encourage industries to reuse treated water instead of discharging it.

The CEO Excellence & Innovation Leadership Award adds to the recognition W.O.G Group has built through its work in water and clean energy. It reflects Rajan’s role in guiding the company’s technology and sustainability efforts across several markets.
