Adv. Shreeya Ghorpade, Advocate, received the Excellence in Cooperative Society Practice award at the Maharashtra Excellence Awards and Conclave 2026. The event was held on August 22, 2026, at Sayaji Hotel, Wakad, Pune, and was organized by Insights Success and powered by Insights Excellence Awards. Marathi actress Nivedita Saraf attended as Chief Guest. The award recognizes Ghorpade’s work representing housing societies and their members across Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.
With more than 12 years of experience, Ghorpade has built her practice around cooperative housing society law, handling matters such as conveyance, deemed conveyance, redevelopment, and society registration. Her work also covers disputes between members and managing committees, an area that often needs both legal knowledge and patience to resolve well. Chief Guest Nivedita Saraf, known for her long career in Marathi cinema and theater, was present at the ceremony, and her attendance added a warm, festive note to an evening centered on professional recognition.
Ghorpade’s practice has taken up cases where builders delayed handing over conveyance for years, even after residents had been living in their homes for a long time. In several of these matters, she has helped societies secure deemed conveyance, a legal route used when a builder has failed to complete the transfer on time. Her casework spans different parts of Pune, including Koregaon Park, Ghorpadi Gaon, Moshi, and Bavdhan, reflecting a practice built on wide, hands-on experience with the kind of disputes that housing societies commonly run into.
Beyond conveyance work, Ghorpade also advises on society formation, governance issues, and disputes involving managing committees, working with both societies as a whole and individual members who feel they have not been treated fairly. She has also represented apartment owners and associations in matters involving declarations and ownership disputes. Over the years, she has shared her views on housing society law with various media platforms, helping explain legal issues that many residents and committee members find confusing.
