Mario Espino, CEO and Founder of Complete Care Management Services (CCMS), received the Pioneers in Value-Based Care & Healthcare Transformation Award at the Global Business Conference & Summit 2026. The event was held on September 6, 2026, at the Metropolitan Hotel, Dubai, and was presented by CIO Look and powered by Globalbiz Conference. Chief Guests Don Mosbeh, CEO and Founder of Don Consult, and H.E. Laila Rahhal El Atfani, Founder of Business Gate, Woman Business Circle, and I AM AFRICA, attended the ceremony. The award recognizes Espino’s work in advancing value-based, in-home healthcare and reshaping chronic care management in the United States.
Espino has spent more than 45 years in the healthcare industry, with a career spanning clinical care, insurance, home health, and government healthcare innovation. Before founding CCMS in 2019, he served as vice president of provider relations at Gold Coast Health Plan, led Total Care Staffing Service under The Wedda Group LLC, and built his foundational experience as founder and CEO of American Medical Rentals Inc., American Oxygen Inc., and American Home Care Services Inc. He is an alumnus of Miami Dade College and has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for his leadership in health care.
Under Espino’s leadership, CCMS has built its model around what he calls the “Three P’s,” patients, physicians, and payers, delivering personalized in-home care that reduces hospital readmissions and supports care transitions for seriously and chronically ill patients. The company, headquartered in Miami with offices across South and Central Florida, partners with hospitalists, primary care physicians, and other medical experts to extend services not typically available in a home healthcare setting, reporting readmission rates well below national averages.
As the healthcare industry continues to shift toward value-based reimbursement models, Espino’s focus on home-based observation and coordinated care positions CCMS as a model for managing the most resource-intensive patients more effectively. His work reflects a long-standing commitment to balancing quality patient outcomes with cost efficiency across the healthcare continuum. On the same day, Espino also served as Round Table Session Chair at the Executive Exchange Roundtable, presented by Insights Success, hosting a closed-door discussion titled “Beyond DRGs: Building a Sustainable, Value-Based & Patient-Centered Healthcare Model.”
The Pioneers in Value-Based Care & Healthcare Transformation Award adds to the recognition Espino has built over more than four decades in healthcare leadership. It reflects the trust patients, providers, and payers have placed in his vision for reshaping how chronic care is delivered.
