Azadeh Shahisavandi Honored with Excellence in Neuromodulation & Mental Health Care Award

Azadeh Shahisavandi, Neuromodulation Specialist at OPENMINDS Centre for Psychiatry, Counselling and Neuroscience, received the Excellence in Neuromodulation & Mental Health Care Award at the Global Business Conference & Summit 2026. The event was held on September 6, 2026, at the Metropolitan Hotel, Dubai, and was presented by CIO Look and powered by Globalbiz Conference. Chief Guests Don Mosbeh, CEO and Founder of Don Consult, and H.E. Laila Rahhal El Atfani, Founder of Business Gate, Woman Business Circle, and I AM AFRICA, attended the ceremony. The award recognizes Shahisavandi’s contribution to advancing neuromodulation therapy and mental health care in the UAE.

Shahisavandi has spent more than 14 years in psychiatry, specializing in managing psychiatric conditions through advanced brain stimulation techniques. She holds an MSc in Applied Neuroscience from King’s College London and an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Shiraz University, along with a background in nursing that grounds her clinical practice in both patient care and neuroscience. Since 2013, she has practiced with repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), treating more than 500 cases and becoming one of the first specialists in the UAE to receive international-level training in rTMS operation and clinical application.

At OPENMINDS Centre for Psychiatry, Counselling and Neuroscience in Dubai, Shahisavandi works across a range of specializations including Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG), neurofeedback, tDCS, and neurorehabilitation for brain injury, supported by a multidisciplinary team offering psychiatric, psychological, and counselling services. Her practice also extends into research areas such as adolescent mental health, depression, and inflammation biomarkers, reflecting an ongoing engagement with both clinical treatment and academic inquiry.

As mental health care in the region continues to expand beyond conventional talk therapy toward technology-driven treatment options, Shahisavandi’s work with rTMS and neuromodulation places her among a small group of specialists shaping how these therapies are adopted and applied. Her role in hospital department development and leadership further reflects her influence beyond direct patient care.

The Excellence in Neuromodulation & Mental Health Care Award adds to the recognition Shahisavandi has built over more than a decade of clinical practice. It reflects the trust patients and institutions have placed in her expertise across neuromodulation, clinical psychology, and psychiatric nursing.
